We have tried several types of pet fountains for our cats, and they seem to like the way the water is displayed. The unit is very quiet and easy to use.
5 Stars Catit Small Fountain and Filter
The price is reasonable and it’s easy to use but most of all, I truly believe that the kitties enjoy it tremendously.

It does its job. Pretty expensive, at $3-$4 a pop. I’d prefer a reusable solution, or a reusable container/circular sac that I could refill with cotton/charcoal.
5 Stars Cats Love the Fountain
My cats just love this fountain and prefer it over the other three bowls in the house. The unit tends to get noisy if you don’t replace the filter every month or so. Popped in a new filter (which I couldn’t find at the pet store, but thanks for the great deal Amazon!) and runs great. Drop in another cup or two of water each morning, no more spills outside the bowl, no more washing out bowls, it does all the work for me.
